LAS VEGAS’ BEST KNOWN MAGICIAN HAS BEEN INDUCTED INTO THE MAGIC HALL OF FAME AND IS NAMED “OUTSTANDING MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR”
Melinda: “The First Lady of Magic” is the first woman to be inducted into the Magic Hall of Fame in the history of magic. She has made entertainment history in a city not easily impressed.
Melinda was recently awarded the OMA (Outstanding Magician’s Award) for 1995. Magic and Movie Hall of Fame Artistic Director Valentine Fox presented Melinda with a statue in the shape of a dove rising out of silk scafs. This honor coincided with the unveiling of her new exhibit for the tens of millions of visitors that come to Las Vegas each year. She will be joining Houdini and Siegfried & Roy alongside many of the world’s most famous magicians.
This award comes during her 10th year as a Las Vegas star and headliner of a production show. Last November, Melinda appeared on the highest rated special in the history of NBC, “The World’s Greatest Magic,” with 26 million viewers on the eve of Thanksgiving.
The Lady Luck Showroom continues to host her famous show of illusions, dancing, and world-class variety acts. The multi-talented Melinda is now the producer and headliner of her own Las Vegas show. Of Lady Luck and the downtown area Melinda said,
“I love the people who work in the friendliest hotel in Las Vegas. I’m committed to keeping downtown alive and well.”
The show now offers new dance numbers, spectacular new illusions, new tricks and new lighting, sound, and special effects systems.
Melinda has earned the reputation as the foremost female magician in the world, and she has one of the best magic shows in Las Vegas.
Melinda’s family show runs at 8 p.m. Tues.-Sun., and the adult show runs at 10:30 p.m. Tues.-Sat. Tickets are $24.95 plus tax and include two drinks.
